JAKARTA: PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Jasindo) booked IDR885.36 billion gross premium as of April 2011 with net profit reaching to IDR55.98 billion.
The company gained premium up to 26.33% of its working budget or reaching to IDR885.36 billion. Gross profit per April reached IDR73.75 billion or 30.04% from budget plan, Jasindo's President Director Budi Tjahjono said.
"Net profit per April reached IDR55.98 billion or 27.26% from budget plan while net profit rose 16.80% compared to same period last year at IDR47.93 billion," he said when attending Jasindo 38th anniversary today.
Meanwhile, Jasindo's investment fund reached IDR1.96 trillion per April or IDR500 billion higher from same period a year earlier.
"Its premium and profitability until the end of April were in accordance to this year's budget. We are optimistic the profit after tax at the end of year could reach IDR205 billion or almost equal to 123% achievement of the budget," he added.
The company is currently balancing corporate portion with retail sector in the premium gain. Jasindo is known as one of oil and gas insurance companies.
"We will also improve banking posts, branch offices penetration that currently reaching to 89 branches and our service outlets that haven't run optimally," Budi said. (t06/msw)
